My dd is almost 22. She is looking at buying a car (does not currently have one) She is looking for a late 90's early 00 model. The problem is she needs car insurance. We can not add her to ours since she is an adult (not a college student) and does not live at home (plus I really don't want to). The main problem is her credit rating is REALLY bad. She has recently started working on this, but it takes time. She has not had driving violations since she was 17.

I need good places to tell her to search for basic minimum coverage, cheap!!! She really needs a car so she can find another job!

I agree with liberty mutual. Also ask about discounts. Many insurances give discounts for college grads who have graduated from particular schools that they participate in. I save 20% per year for insurance because of this. Also consider maybe taking a driver course. I don't know what the cost is but most if not all provide discounts when you have had this within a particular time frame. I think though this needs to be renewed. Some insurances have a parameters for it as well. It doesn't hurt to ask though.

Liberty Mutual! They're not going to be quite as cheap as Geico or Infinity bu they have GREAT customer service, are great with claims, and have very reasonable rates. They are also rated second overall after AAA, but offer WAY lower rates!

You may also want to check an insurance agency..They are agencies that you can visit which will let you check many different insurance types and costs before you choose one. That way you are sure you are getting the best plan
