Well, I normally get one from work and my freezer isn't that big, so I don't have extra room. This year, I haven't heard anything about getting the turkeys at work, so I'm wondering if they are cutting that out too since economic times are tough.

If I don't, I will just keep my eyes open for the best deal. Right now, they are .97/lbs.

I JUST grabbed one for .69. I didn't even bother freezing it, its in the fridge right and I Plan on roasting it this weekend. I LOVE turkey and I love that for that price, its so verstile. You can use it for everything and a whole turkey will last forever. ARound this time of year, I like to buy as many as I can, or earn them with my grocery receipts.

I usually get 3 or 4 extras. Our family likes turkey, and I can usually get it at such a great price.

I have in past years, but unless I can get my hands on a small freezer I won't be buying one this year. I have no room to put one.

We usually stock up on 2 when they have the BOGO deals. This year I have a freezer to store extras in so I might get another 2 to have on hand.

Our local store usually sells the turkey breasts pretty cheap so I will grab a few of those for the freezer. We never use up an entire turkey anyway, so buying the smaller breast works better for us.

i don't like turkey enough to have it more than just 2 or 3 days out of the year. this goes back to when there was only 4 of us and my mom bought a turkey that could have easily fed a large crowd (12+) and we'd have to eat the rest of it over the span of the next couple of weeks. i admit the turkey with rice was okay... but turkey sandwiches, some kind of turkey soup, turkey sandwiches, turkey soup and turkey... every day! i just can't tolerate it anymore...

nope, no extra turkey for us. we don't have an extra freezer or any extra room in the one we have. i'm groaning as I think of buying the turkey for our Thanksgiving dinner and where I'm going to put the thing as our fridge is pretty small.
