Do you make your own? Do you buy generic/store brand? Or do you stick to namebrand and try and buy it when it goes on sale?

We buy Mrs Butterworths at Sams in the big jugs. It is so much cheaper that way!

I buy a big jug of maple syrup at Costco and split it with family members.

Me too! I can't believe how much cheaper it is.

We make our own with maple flavoring, water and sugar.

We also make our own chocolate syrup.

So much of it is simply High fructose corn syrup (check your bottles and you'll see that) with NO real syrup in it.

I usually get ours at Trader Joes, where it's quite reasonable. Target has some Grade A for a reasonable price, too.

I know, and I love it anyway. I don't like real maple syrup for some reason.

We're also a Mrs. Butterworth family. I also buy it at Costco. However, to save money even more, I portion out the syrup in little restaurant pitchers. Everyone gets to feel like they are pouring the syrup on but it doesn't get wasted.

This is what we do. I have a regular size syrup bottle that I just wash out and fill back up when it gets empty. Easier for the kids to use that instead of a big heavy bottle.

We love Golden Griddle, so we buy between 6 to 8 bottles when it goes on sale. That will usually last us a good six months, depending on how many pancakes and waffles we eat inbetween there.
