Question How do you re-use the plastic bags that come inside the cereal boxes?

Does anyone keep them? What do you use them for?

I cut them in half and use to cover dishes we may warm up in the micro!

I also read here I think that they have the same stuff as those greenie produce bags. I gave it a try once and myabe I got lucky but my stuff stayed fresh for quite a few days until I got around to using it!

Well I cannot tell a lie. It never occurred to me to reuse those. This should be interesting!

that's a good one! I can use those for the same things I reuse produce bags for: I put garlic and onion peels in them so I can take them directly out to the trash without stinking up my kitchen trash. Also maybe putting stinky diapers in the trash when it has to be in the garage in the winter?

I use mine like I would use waxed paper to put between hamburger patties for freezing. The cereal bags are tougher and easier to separate from the patties when it's time to use them.

We also use them when working on glue projects as the glue will usually peel right off if it sticks.

I never thought about using them either. I like the idea of using them like wax paper...we never seem to have any when I need it.

I just used one last night. I was making chicken with a breadcrumb/herb coating and I put the coating in the bag, dropped the chicken pieces in, and then shook that bag. It worked really well!
