If you're struggling with putting healthy meals on the table and have kids under the age of five in your household or are pregnant, you may be eligible for government assistance through WIC. Here is more information on income guidelines (although eligibility can differ by state):

We don't have that here and we are well within the guidelines to be eligible. I wish we had something like that here. Canada really helps the really really poor and the wealthy but it's us working poor that have trouble making ends meet.

Check out the agency in your state specifically. They will have a better breakdown. The chart that is posted appears to be for families with kids ages 2-5 only. If you are pregnant or have kids under age 2 ususally there are different income guidelines.

For example this is from the MN website and it lists the preg. women income guidelines... CAP Agency - WIC ( I'm not sure where our income guidelines are for families with kids under 2 , but I know they are different)

Nope. I wanted to mention though. If you have medicaid or your children have medicaid they are automatically eligible for wic.

It always pays to go into the office and apply. If you receive medical/medicaid, as the prev. poster put, you automatically qualify, and the qualifications arent as simple as the website puts it. Your rent etc comes into play too. I didnt think we qualified when both of us were working and we did. Now only my dh is working and we qualify. It really helps, esp. for formula, (I cant bf). Just a thought.
