I am totally embarrassed to admit this but I used to throw out my bread heels (up until about 2 months ago!), because no one would eat them and I am not going to grind them up for crumbs. BUT I no longer throw them out as I have three things I can use them for (I just collect them in a bread bag in the freezer)
1.Blueberry french toast bake
2. Ham & Egg Bake (or Sausage & Egg)
3. fun free family activity for small kids : go to a body of water and feed the ducks or whatever birds are around

Also for little bits of things like whipping cream, mayo, etc - I go to allrecipes.com and search by ingredients. I often do this to find recipes for the things I have on hand. There is even a column for adding things I don't want in the recipe (or don't have on hand). Then you can add a key word if there is something specific I am looking for (bars, casserole, etc) and refine results by category - great tool.

We do clean out the fridge night.
I usually take all the left over veggies, put them all together & then we have what I call "Meghan's Blend".

Also I use ripe banana's for making breads, muffins, pudding.

Usually take l/o's with me for work, if there is any. Dh usually snax in the middle of the night on them.
Like last night...he ate the pizza I was taking to work today!

Last night we had pork chops and i made too many. Tonight no one wanted them. So I sliced up some potatoes and an onion and fried them, then I cut the pork chops up into bite sized pieces off the bone and threw them in the skillet with the potatoes and onions.seasoned it with garlic salt and pepper. I made some gravy and added it to the skillet too. Served it over noodles with green peas on the side and it was so yummy!! I'll have to add that to my leftover list.

Love that Idea. We had pork chops two nights ago and have a few left in the refrig. That will be on tomorrows menu. Tonight we are having beef stew. I made roast last night and have a bunch of leftover veggies in the refig that I am going to add to the roast some wondera and spices and let it cook in the crock pot. My family loves it. Mix a batch of cornbread and we got supper

I always have leftover pork chops, too! I use them the next day for Pork Fried Rice- I use boil in bag, or instant rice, add scrambled egg, butter, frozen peas, scallions, soy sauce , s&p and some parmesan cheese (secret ingredient). It's so good. You could also used leftover chicken, shrimp, etc...

leftover cake or cookies (or baking mishaps) become the base for trifles or parfaits. Cake mishaps can also become cake balls.
