I think it is a good idea. It does look a bit institutionalized, but the pictures are better quality - for a generic product, there isn't a picture at all, which is kind of what I was expecting. I think it's good for their brand to be more cohesive, because sometimes it's difficult to spot. I don't know if it will look so regimented when you're not looking at 50 different products in the same packaging at once. It will be easy to spot on the store shelves as well.

I like GV brand, for most items I've tried, so I'll keep trying them.
