we do the hobo packets and put a hamburger patty on the bottom of a piece of foil sprayed with pam,add the burger and top with potaotes,onions,carrots and a couple pats of butter and seasoning.My husband loves these!

we love grilled pineapple - just get a generic can of chunks (in juice, not syrup) and grill away, so good

we also do grilled zucchini and usually get it free from friends who have gardens, but also cheap from farmer's markets. salt, pepper and a little "I can't believe it is not butter spray" OR olive oil. Yum even the picky kids love it

I would say potatoes for us as well. I pre bake them in the micro then slice in half lengthwise spread with garlic butter salt and pepper then slap them face down on the grill to crisp up.

we also do grilled pineapple but I buy fresh so I don't know how frugal it really is.

One of my favorite things to grill is veggies - stuff from our garden - zucchini, onions, tomatoes and then add some olive oil and some garlic seasoning - sooo yummy - can't wait. Getting hungry just thinking about it.

On another thread someone mentioned kabobs and I think we will be doing a lot of those this summer as well - to stretch the meat.

Asparagus picked from a patch drizzled w/ olive oil and salt/pepper, sweet corn w/ salad dressing and parmesan cheese grilled in sprayed foil, grilled eggplant breaded w/ egg and bread crumbs, 7up Potatoes (sliced potatoes, w/ butter, 7up, garlic, and lawrys.

I love making the potato grill packets as well!
