At walmart, I found some divided ziplock takealong containers. They have 3 compartments, 1 large one and 2 smaller ones. The kids are always asking for lunchables, then I saw these and though that it could make a great alternative, a MUCH CHEAPER alternative. What are some things that I could put in for the kids??

What types do the kids like? You can copy the lunchables! My favorite ones are the nachos. I have those containers and love them so much. I got mine at the dollar store though.

crackers, cheese, and a lunch meat they like
cooked pizza dough (or small tortillas or pita bread?), sauce, shredded cheese, and pepperoni if they like it (although it amazes me how much kids love those cold pizza lunchables haha)
strips of tortilla, mini hot dogs, packets of mustard/ketchup/etc (they could just roll them in the tortilla strip like pigs in a blanket)
tortilla/pita bread, chicken, sauce/dressing
*** whatever you do, be sure to put in a little drink and dessert ***

This is what I would do too!
I have to look for those containers, they shound neat!
My kids like the bologna , cheese , crackers , small candy bar and drink.
They hate the pizza , nachos and chicken nuggets, etc.
They rarely ask for , or even get a lunchables. - thankfully.

Everything I thought of suggesting was already said, but I was going to say I always ask for extra ketchup packets when going to a fast food restaurant. I keep them for the lunches. I do have a little container that I also refill, but having the individual disposal ones is nice.

I sent crackers, ham, american cheese, and a fruit the other day, that didn't go over well with my oldest. She only ate the crackers. LOL They may like that pizza idea, do you make the dough or buy it?
Nachos would be a HUGE hit. how do you do the cheese?? Is it jus shredded cheese or sliced cheese?? YOu can't keep the melted cheese hot obviously. LOL
I'm not really sure what is in the lunchables, I never buy them.

I'm sure you can buy the pizza dough on sale somewhere. Like the pillsbury kind? You could cut and bake it, then store it in the fridge and use when needed.
Nacho cheese could be velvetta or cheese whiz or something along those lines. Because the nacho cheese in the lunchables is cold and it also comes with salsa.
For desert, you can get those little packs of candy that are 10 for 1$ or something like that.
It sounds like you'll be saving lots of money this way!
LOL I still get lunchables every once in awhile.

The no yeast pizza dough would be perfect for this!

You can use a mini pita for the pizza Missy.
