I bought a boatload of toothpaste when it was on clearance once....what I failed to do was to check the expiry dates on the tubes!!!!!! I ended up having to throw much of it away because I had purchased so much that we were not able to get through it before they went funky.
Soooo needless to say I always check before purchasing major quantities of things LOL!

Burn the good candles, use the nice sheets, wear the fancy lingerie. Don't save it for a special occasion...Today IS special.

I have about 20 cans of butter beans in my cupboard that no-one like but dh and I usually make his beans and ham out of dry beans. They are canned so they will be able to be kept for a long time though.

Don't forget about our Veteran's on November 11th!!!

I put up my own pumpkin every fall and then I can make pumpkin pudding ...which I absolutely love...it calls for a can of evaporated milk.....I had coupons and hit a sale so I bought a ton of them......and then grew tired of pumpkin pudding....last weekend I decided to make some and when I got my can of evaporated milk out it had expired a year ago...!! Thinking maybe it might still be okay since it was canned I poured it out into a measuring cup to see.....it was gray and lumpy!! GROSS!!!!!!! All of my stockpile went to the garbage!
