Do you think homemade lasagna is worth the effort? And expense? And time? I made some at my husband's request this week, and I think it was about $13 for the pan. Of course, we ate it for two meals and I still put at least half in the freezer. But I can buy one for that price and have just as much.

Well if you take the pan out of the picture it should cost a lot less to make a basic lasagna!!!

It's way too much time and effort and probably costs about the same, but tastes SO much better, so yeah- I guess it's worth it! LOL!

Definitely worth the trouble. I really don't like store bought lasagna even though it is probably cheaper in the long run. I always make 2 and put one in the freezer.

I definitely think it's worth it because it tastes so much better. Once in a while I will get a frozen one (usually for free at Thanksgiving - our store offers a turkey or a lasagna and if I'm not making dinner I choose the lasagna). My family will eat the frozen and not complain, but they LOVE the homemade.

The biggest expense for me is the cheese, so I try to get that on sale - if I can hit a sale I can make one for the same price if not cheaper than a frozen.

DH absoultely loves lasagna but I hate making it. So we've compromised on a crockpot lasagna that he loves to eat and I don't mind making.

I'm in the minority. I can buy the Marie Callendar's lasagna cheap on sale and they are so good and quick. If the cheese isn't on sale lasagna is expensive and so time consuming.
