No, there is never left over coffee in our house and I drink one cup of coffee and I want it freshly brewed.

I am becoming a coffee snob. I won't order coffee at a drive-through unless it's close to mealtime, so I can be reasonably sure it's coming from a fresh pot. At home, I feed my leftover coffee to my blueberry bushes. They love it.

I like to cold brew my coffee so not only do I drink day old coffee, I drink week old coffee. When you cold brew it, it forms this lovely thick syrup that you can add to milk to make iced coffee. I swear by it! I love the iced coffees that you can buy at the store. When I prepare it with my cold brewed stuff, you can't tell the difference between mine and the store bought stuff. However I won't drink coffee that is older than an hour or two if it was brewed in a machine. In that case it goes down the drain.

I'm worse- my limit is an hour! What I try to do is to shut off the coffee maker if I'm not going to be able to drink it right away. That way it doesn't keep "cooking". I'd rather re-heat in the microwave than have burnt coffee!
My husband and I have this standing joke about his Grandmother. She would always say" Would you like some coffee? It's fresh from this morning" (no matter what time you got there!)

Cold brew is a whole other story. It will keep, because it hasn't undergone the heat damage that hot brewing methods cause.
I don't much care for iced coffee, but I have heated cold-brew concentrate with hot water and steamed milk to make cafe au lait.

I have a bunn coffee maker , it doesn't have a burner , so I don't worry about burnt coffee, it just doesn't taste right to me after its been sitting 2-3 hours.
Today I was thinking of you all and I made a cup at 1:00pm from the remains of the 8:00 am pot. It was still piping hot , and I fixed it as normal. It just tastes " stale " or something. Totally not fresh, like it is when I drink my few cups between 8 - and 10 am. I tried , but I can't do it.
