Do you make intricate coffee or tea drinks at home, in order to save money?

I love coffee drinks, but I always go to the coffee shops to get them. My faves are the pumpkin or vanilla lattes at Starbucks, the spiced chai tea latte at Starbucks, and the Cafe' Mocha at an awesome local coffee shop.

I think there is a certain "art" to making the coffee drinks. That, in combination with the need for special equipment, discourages me from trying them at home.

I have tried the chai tea latte at home...it just isn't the same.

Dh and I don't buy coffee drinks very often because we just don't like the way they taste. We'd rather do it at home.

Dh and I aren't fans of the coffee chains...Starbucks esp...we just find their coffee really awful tasting. I've never understood their popularity. To each their own!

We're also not interested in flavored drinks. We do make coffee and espresso and home and can steam and froth milk for cappuccinos, lattes etc We find it tastes better at home. LOL
