so do you ask your family members if they want specific meals each week or do you just make the menu?

I generally ask each person whats one meal you would like to have this week. then I decide the rest what do you do?

The kids and Dh don't care what we have...so I just do my own thing. I do know what they like, so I definately make things I know they enjoy.

I fix what I feel like fixing at the moment.
If Himself tells me that he's been craving a certain dish, I'll fix that.

I do this too. It means we end up having spaghetti one night and some form of tacos (either tacos, taco casserole or taco braid) every week, but I don't mind. Dh usually says he doesn't care, but once in a while he will have something he requests.

I try to ask on a regular basis because I get tired of figuring out the meals all the time. But when I do ask I usually get " I don't care". I got fed up with it one time and didn't cook for almost 4 days. When they asked I said you guys told me you didn't care so you get to have fend for yourself nights. Next thing I knew I was getting input for meal times.

I give them some input. If I haven't been grocery shopping for a while and the pantry is pretty bare, I will decide what to make.

No kids here but DH is among the "I don't care" type. Generally I plan all the meals unless he requests something specifically.

I bbasically just do whatever. Once in a while, they will have a request and I ask them to write it down so I dont forget it. I always make things that I know they will enjoy.

I plan it all by myself. Very rarely does anyone ask for anything. For me it is just easier to plan it all since I do all the cooking,

I always ask my husband if there's anything he'd like to eat that week. I don't like coming up with everything on my own.
