Now is a good time to start building up a pantry. The trick is to stock up on items while they are on sale. Now is a good time to stock up on baking items and pumpkin.

My pantry has gotten kind of low thanks to no stores really having any great deals lately. So i've been trying to rebuild it. Our local store has triple coupons this week so I was able to snag betty crocker frosting for .19 So I got 5 that's all the coupons I had. Their cake mix is 1.00 so i might grab a couple of those as well. I have plenty of soups though and that's good in case of an emergency

I make most everything I can from scratch. The one things I'm waiting to go on sale are flour, sugar and yeast.

Team Edward you may still be able to get the Duncan Hines (Yellow & White) cake mix on sale at Target (.97- .50 Target coupon) .47 Each. Got 9 boxes myself. You can actually make very good, soft cookies using cake mix.

I have so much my cupboards are full so built shelves in the back of the garage. Canned goods, juices, sodas, candy making supplies, etc,

I am SOOOO EXCITED to be able to start a stock pile soon!
We've never had the room to stockpile or build up a pantry before, but when we move into the new house in a few weeks, we will. You have no idea how excited I am!!!

I agree. I've made countless cookies using cake mix. I have a great recipe that I got from a woman I used to work with. They were her specialty. They are also wonderful when you put icing on them!!

TY hilann_46,
My fav is cherry chip mix with Choc chips = Choc covered cherry tasting cookies...mmmm Could probably duplicate from scratch but at about 50 cents for 2 dozen why bother with all the extra work.

Never made cookies from a cake mix. Sounds awesome! Can someone post a recipe?
