So how are you doing with it? I know we haven't had a full week since the challenge has started but I thought I would post a check in anyway

This week I have spent $48.50 so I am under my 50 for food.:happy dance:
I didn't get my cash that I normally do because we went out for dinner on Saturday with my in-laws and it was more then I had budgeted
My big monthly costco trip is next week so we will see how that goes

For the month I am at 520 total on food, which is a little over where I wanted to be but is also expected when you have one of those months with 5 weeks to buy groceries. Still it is down from the $632 I spent in may.

I have spent $4.32 this week at the grocery store. We realized that most of the meat in our freezer needed to get eaten up soon, so I bought some red bell peppers, an onion and some of the small tortillas and that's it. Oh, wait. I just remembered, we had to go back to the store to pick up some sour cream. Oh, well. So, I've spent another $1.50.

Well- I do have to go to the store today and pick up a few things for next week and a few little extras for 4th of July. I have to be really careful with what I spend the next week 10 days- DH car needed a lot of things for inspection (more than what we planned)- so my goal is to only spend about $30 today!

I am doing good. I will have to go to the store today for a few things to get us thru the weekend and part of next week. dh wont be home for the next few days, so i will not have to make as much food as if he were here. It will make whatever i get stretch further.
