I stuck to my challenge of not buying any household or personal items--we are using up what we have in the stockpile.

For groceries I ended up spending around $65 for this week. My goal for next week is $50.

Woohoo when I went this afternoon I spent only $70 for a week. I am trying to use up stuff that I already have. Today I even bought two things of Tide because Wal-Mart was having a special where some of them were $5-limit 3 per person. I got 2 of them. I was really proud of myself. I did buy 3 boxes of cereal but that is because we have eaten all of the cereal-which was my goal!

I've been trying hard to use stuff up, and this week I only spent $27.53!!! I couldn't believe it!!! All I needed though was milk, fruit and then I bought a few ingredients for stuff for the 4th. Tomorrow or Sunday I will go to Meijer and pick up some Coconut oil for popcorn, some flour, and a few veggies and that should cover next week! I think I can easily keep it under $35 for the rest of the month and hopefully make a nice dent in my pantry and freezer.

We haven't done so well -- but I have a good excuse! Baby was born and I just came home from the hospital on Monday and still getting into the swing of things! I think I'll be back in business by this Monday!

Thank you for posting the Challenge Check in. My Grandma past away on Saturday and this is the first chance I have had to be on Mommy savers since last tuesday.

This was my Costco week so didn't do so well I was $25 over my $200 limit. Gosh diapers are expensive and so is splenda (lucky for us the costco box lasts 2.5 years. Then there was alot going on we were out of town and in and out of hospice house all week so we were in a situation to eat our when we normally wouldn't have. Still the plan for this week is under $50.

Congrats Melsb on the new baby. Its nice to here about new life when you just lost someone.

Last week I spent $0! I did not have to go to the store for anything! Yippee! I did spend more than expected last week- but I got a stockpile o stuff for DH's lunch.

Anyways this week I plan on spending about $75 on groceries- I will be reorganizing everything to see what I can use up- but there is a few things that we are running low on.

So far this month I have bought 4 gallons of milk and I need to buy dog food, razors and deoderant. We are doing great at using everything left in the cupboards and freezers. Even my DH seems excited about doing this. Great idea!

This entire weekend we spent $14.88! Had to go to the store for milk (though dang has anyone noticed the prices of milk?) and picked up a couple of other things.

I have to sit down and figure what I need for this week but I'm pretty sure I can shop for those in town (we live in a small town and I do our major shopping trips about 40 miles away), and not spend more than $40.00 ... we'll have to see I need diapers and diapers are very expensive in our small town - that might push us up to $50.00.
