How we doing? Are you all still up for the challenge have you gone over or are you keeping it in check.

My Grocery bill was bad this week because I bought things that weren't groceries. Though I did stay under $50 with the groceries. DD and I got new sandles, I got a new shirt, sunglasses and shorts, DD got an Magna Doodle for her first rood trip this sunday. We are headed to California. So though I spent twice what I normally did I am not buying groceries next week because I will be on Vacation.
Vacation of the Frugal kind. Its with my mom and my sis and I am pretty certian she is footing most of the bill because otherwise I wouldn't be going

How about you?

We have absolutely nada in our house to eat so this trip will probably be more expensive. At least we have used everything up! I just loaded up on diapers last week but I need to get formula ($25 bucks a can and that is for a small one, DS is on special formula) plus dog food for 4 dogs so my bill will probably be pretty high. Oops yes I need to get paper towels and some cleaning supplies so yeah it will defintely be high. As far as groceries go, I went ahead and made a meal menu for the next 2 weeks (we go shopping once every 2 weeks instead of once a week). I also got some good recipes off of the board for items that we can freeze and heat up later. I work nights so this will be good b/c the last thing I want to do is cook! I also am going to try to make breakfast burritos (recipe courtesy of the mommysavers) and freeze them for DH since he loves them and he can eat them at home instead of mickey d's. So since I will be making a huge batch of meals this weekend I will probably spend a good bit. Thankfully I am going to Aldi first to get what I can there first. I will give a report as to what I spent!

Let's see. Milk (4 gallons), 50 lb bag of dog food, 25 lbs of cat litter, and taking your husband along shopping. Disaster! We spent $120. Everything we bought, we needed. There was no getting out of any of it.

I know I am going out of town this week without my DH I am leaving him $50 but I am still nervous about what he is going to purchase all by himself. The only thing I see him needing to buy is milk and some salad stuff.

I did fairly well this week. Mainly only milk (4 gallons as well!)and a few other items (like frozen fries- a family size pack for $1.99 on sale normally $5.00 and had coupon for .35 cents so it was only $1.39!). The real expense for me recently is DH drinks for work. He is in construction so he needs to drink a lot of beverages- mainly water, some Mountain Dew but the biggest cost is the Green Tea- that costs about $25 every 2 weeks (I really need to figure a cheaper way for him to be able to drink that!).
