I have finally mastered the art of running into the grocery store and picking up only what I came for!!! Yesterday, I went in the morning and dropped off a prescription at HyVee and bought a gallon of milk. Then last night I went back and picked up the prescription and bought nothing else!!! Today I went and got 2 loaves of bread. That's it!!!:happy dance: It is nice to be able to get out of the house for a couple of minutes without breaking the bank! Used to be I would still wonder through the store looking for good deals and end up buying a bunch of stuff whenever I stepped in a store.

I am thinking you must have left the kids at home? I know for me, it is WAY more expensive to bring them with me than it is to go alone. Really, I try to avoid taking them to the store as much as possible, or if they do come on the "big grocery order" they are allowed one treat only, and the rest of the order is up to me!!

ME too! My dd thinks it's normal that you can not buy anything that's NOT on the list. I just have to remember that damn fake list every time!! lol

I would also try and pay cash if just running in for milk and only bring a $5 with me so I CAN"T buy anything else.
