Anyway, I gotta ask some of the ladies again, what in the world is "Bagged Milk"?[/quote]

Bagged Milk is, well, milk that comes in a sealed plastic bag. They come in 1/2 gallon bags at the gas station/convenience store. Around here it's Kwik Trip. Today the bag of 2% was 1.44 for the 1/2 gallon.

I store my "bag" milk in a 1/2 gallon tupperware pitcher. I've found the bag milk is often fresher than the gallons I buy at the grocery store. The clerks at KT, say they go through milk pretty fast.

Thank you so much. I've never seen this anywhere. It sounds good though- fresh and cheap!

A lot of gas station snack stores use milk as a 'loss leader' so that is a really good place to buy milk. However, I never walk into the gas station's store so that's not where I buy milk.

Fortunately, we don't use very much milk. I buy maybe a half gallon a month. I used to buy Lactaid (the generic version) because it lasted so much longer in the fridge. Now I buy organic, ultrahomogenized milk which lasts just as long. Both are priced between $3.25 and $3.99 for a half gallon, depending on the store and time of day/month/year. Yes, dairy prices are going up.

I get mine at super wal-mart or Food lion. It is approximately $4.30 at Food Lion and a bit cheaper at wal-mart. Either way it is a ridiculous price to pay but what do ya' do? It is a neccessity.

I buy Horizon Organic and it is $2.99-3.50 per half gallon depending on sales. I buy it at the grocery store, Target or Walmart depending on when I'm shopping. No hormones for my babies.
