I agree - the paper stuff is okay too. I also bought some plush stuffed animals for $1 per item for my son's birthday party for favors. I'm guessing these would be okay. Any thoughts?
Also, if you've bought a lunch box there, watch out, it could have lead in it. Yikes!! I'm getting so paranoid about everything!

I'm trying to shop so much smarter, but it's hard when you want to buy as healthy and natural as possible. I usually lean toward the organic side as much as possible. Hope everyone is having a great night!

I will get some snack type foods- but at our dollar wave they have some decent frozen food for cheap- not a $1 but for under $3. I have gotten frozen noodles, some stouffers things and some other odd and end foods to try out.

I don't buy food at the dollar store, sometimes its more costly than at Wal-mart.

I do get seasonal items there. I just keep an eye on the priceing.

I go to our dollar stores here quite often. I get tomato sauce and diced tomatoes there which I use at least 2-3 times a week. Spaghetti sauce and noodles are almost always cheaper there and I used to get my toilet paper there and all that but now i generally get them at walmart. I very rarely buy diapers there because at our Dollar General here, the packages arent big enough and they don't stock any name brand pull-ups just their brand.

We have a 99cent store here as well. I LOVE the place but it is hit and miss too. They normally have bananas in a 3lb bag , trix or yoplait yougart 8pks, bagged lettuce, lunchables, eggs, bagged onions, 3pks of red and yellow peppers, and many other things. I do say you have to check the dates on the stuff. Most of the time it is close to expiration dates.

I have found other deals and I think the merchandise is better than the dollar stores stuff.
