Its Friday how did we all do this week?

Still keeping my grocery bill under $50. It was $49.70:happy dance: This week I had a Winco shopping experience. The prices are good but the produce selction not so much. I am addicted to salad kits as spendy as they are and Winco doesn't have them.
But milk at under $2, I now see as a big plus to going there.

Wow!! Milk for $2??!! Where do you live? my family is a big milk family, use at least a gallon a day, at $4.50 (NY) it's an expense, but need it. Dairy Barn had a coupon this week for $2.99/gallon, should of went out and brought more newspapers to get the coupon.

I've been keeping track monthly, and making a real effort to plan out meals two weeks at a time. My plan was to go to the grocery 2 x a month, but I just can't make the milk and fruit last the second week. However, my bill has averged about $50 a week which is great for me! I'll put together a final total Friday and see how I came out!

I spent around $15 this week- mainly on water. I am going shopping tomorrow and hoping to only spend about $35! Fingers crossed!

thanks for starting this up again. Dh and I have decided to tighten our belt even more and try to only spend $50 a week on groceries all the time (including detergent, personal items and diapers) to put extra money toward our credit card debt (and have it paid off by the New Year). So far, I've done pretty well. $75 for two weeks, and I'll have a few days worth of meat left over for the next pay period. I need some bread, some bologna and have one more WIC check left for this month (milk, juice). $5 or so. I could have done better (I splurged on Claussin pickles b'c they were 99 CENTS A JAR! at the cheapie grocery store) but there's always next time, right?

To date: $50 last week, $25 this week, $5 projected expenses
