Just wanted to share one of my ideas for grocery strategies.
I organize a moms meetup.com group here in tacoma. I just scheduled an awsome event. It is a moms Coffee hour with a different discussion every time
"Our Next Topic is Grocery Shopping Strategies. Join in on what store you think have the best deals. Does Coupon Cutting work? How do you stay on budget? Does buying in bulk does it really save?"

So what do you guys think? I am excited about this we have 6 moms already signed up so it should be fun. This board provides a great resourse but at the same time asking. "Where do you shop?" only works when everyone is in the same general area. Has anyone else participated in local discussion groups? How did it go?

I like the idea.
I think if you can get it going it would be great.
I also was thinking about doing something similar. My kids attend a catholic school and the church had asked if anyone was interested in forming a similar group through the church. I think the pastor there watched Oprah when that one women that was on there did a similar thing at her church.
Unfortunately I work every Sun. at the hospital.

Anyway....good luck, I think you are on to somthing big.

Sounds like fun! This reminds me of a show called "Surving Motherhood" on the Discovery Health channel. Every week they have a different group of mothers and each mother gets a turn to discuss what challenges they are having. The rest of the group offers advice. I record that show every day. Good luck and let us know how it goes.
