Just wondering if any of you (besides me) buy generic pop (or soda for you non-midwesterners!) I usually buy HyVee brand or Sam's Club brand diet cola. It is sooo much cheaper than Pepsi or Coke and I don't find too much difference in the taste. I actually like Sam's Club better than Pepsi!

I know, not buying any would be cheapest, but everyone has to have their vice

No, I drink Diet Coke exclusively. That's my vice. I do wait for sales and really stock up though. My BIL who works for Coca Cola jokes that our garage looks like their warehouse

I do buy generic, when I do buy which is rarely. Dh is usually the one who picks it up on the rare ocassions that he actually goes to the store.

I have had a severe pop habit in the past, and I am still trying to break it. Anyone have any ideas for pop alternatives? I've tried kool-ade, lemonaide, iced tea, water, and nothing cures the craving for pop!

I am drinking a ton more coffee, now that I am not drinking pop anymore! it is cheaper, but not by much with the amount that I am drinking!

I buy generic root beer when we are having root beer floats. I like the Walmart brand of Diet Dr. Pepper that they call Dr. Thunder. Dh has to have Mt. Dew. We are really good about pop for the kids is only on special occasions or when we eat out and it's always caffeine free.

We like the generic orange soda from Sav-A-Lot (it's similar to Aldi's). We buy the "real" stuff when it's on sale. We've been drinking lot more water and Koolaid this summer and limiting how much we spend on soft drinks.

I always buy Sam's choice SODA. LOL to me, there is realy no diffrence, and the savings are HUGE. Occassionally when soda does go on sale for a case of cans, I might stock up, but I ussually buy Sam's choice at Walmart.

DH is a Caffiene Free Diet COKE guy only, so that is what I usually buy. However, I do sneak in a can or two of Black Cherry pop (which is almost only store brand) when I can find it. Not too many places carry it anymore

we buy generic pop but when we can get Mt Dew (Welll DH is the one who drinks it) for 4-5 a case we get that.... stock up a little. If i drink any it has to diet and usually I just get the generic since I like the french vanilla cola. We were spending $60 a month when I first met DH on Mt Dew but aI have been trying to break the habit.

I buy whatever is cheapest. I don't have a Wal-Mart, so Sam's stuff is out. We aren't picky. However, I only buy diet sodas.
