When I bake with chocolate chips, I always use half a bag of chips instead of a whole one. You get twice as much baked goods out of a bag and my family thinks that the cookies and bars actually taste better, because you can actually taste some of the cookie/bar instead of all chocolate.

Try the mini chips too - you can easily use half a bag or less and not even notice it.

the actual dough of the choc. chip cookies tastes great, but we've baked it by itself before and it didn't taste as good as we thought. but i will try the half bag idea.

I double the recipe and then use one bag of chips. It is the same idea, but I don't have an open bag of chips around. My DH would eat them all.

I'm not a huge chocolate fan so I tend to only use half a bag most times. I'll remember to do this more because no one has complained before when there weren't all the chips.

Thanks!

I use the Store bought bag of cookie mix..Betty Crocker kind.
Just add a few items and BLAM, bake and eat.

Taste like they were HOMEMADE.
I get mine at Wal-mart for about 1.50 or so, in the baking isle.

My favorite is Sugar cookies, but Betty Crocker has a few other favors, Choc. chip, Peanut butter, they are ALL GREAT.

CHEAP AND GOOD what more could you ask!!
