I shop all over the county to find the best deals. I time my trips for when I already will be in a certain area, so I don't waste on gas, and I tend to make big "stock-up" trips instead of little ones.
I go to the Entennman's outlet every two weeks to stock up on bread, buns, etc.which is right by my house. I won't buy bread products if I can't get them there. I regularly get loaves of Arnold brand bread for .25 - .50 per loaf.
I go to Publix maybe once or twice a month for the BOGO's. I check the ad every week and decide if there is stuff that I need, and try to combine with coupons.
I go to Sam's once a month or so, sometimes longer than that. I have a long list of things that I find to be cheaper there, and which are more convenient to buy in bulk.
For my regular grocery shopping I go to SuperTarget. I do this probably once a week, for a quick run through of things to round out what I already have from Sam's, etc.
I try to go once a month to get fresh veggies from a big market that's about 30 minutes from me. They have the cheapest produce around and it's FRESH. But that's a big trip for me, so sometimes I go 2-3 months before I hit there, depending on what the situation is at home.
I definitely think that some stores mark up different items. Even with the BOGO's, sometimes it's not that great of a deal. I agree with the OP, if something is $3 more somewhere, for the same item, I just can't stomach to buy it. Having a stockpile has really freed me up to not feel like I HAVE to grocery shop, if the price isn't right. I wait for a price that is acceptable for me, and then I shop. It has been freeing, a real benefit from the stockpile that I hadn't foreseen.

I go to Walmart to get baby formula and cleaning supplies, for groceries I have been shopping at Ingles since it is only like a mile from my house, and they tend to have decent sales on meats. If I go in the morning I can usually find chicken or ground beef marked down that they need to get rid of because of the sell by date. We have started trying to make it out to Sam's more often for diapers, wipes, tylenol, that sort of thing. But it is almost 45 minutes from our house, so we don't get out there very often.

I shop at Super Walmart. Do you know if you have ads' from local stores' Walmart will match their price. Just make sure you have the dated ad so they can see that it's current. This saves you gas and $.

Once a month or so, I do a major stock up at Aldi's, on canned goods. And sometimes, I'll go there and get what I need, before going to Kroger to get what I couldn't get at Aldi. I shop at Kroger for 2 reasons; convenience, and they are my husbands biggest client ( don't like to bite the hand that feeds us so to speak). Every 2 weeks or so, I go to Sam's CLub to stock up on water, peanut butter, jelly, etc. I also try to hit the Hostess Thrift store when I plan on going to Sam's.

We do the majority of our shopping at Super Walmart, but if Cashwise has good sales, we go there first. We try to hit Aldi's every couple months also.

I buy a lot of my stuff at Super Wal-Mart because they are cheaper on most stuff. I also shop at Giant because I can get double (and sometimes triple) coupons there. They just happen to be a 1/4 mile apart from each other so is so convenient.

Shop Rite is closest and has best sales. Plus they do a baby bucks promotion. everytime you spend 75.00 in baby products you get 10.00 off your order. They use to do a pet bucks one, but not in a couple years

For groceries I mainly go to Albertson's, Ralph's, and Henry's Marketplace. I shop mostly organic and these places have the best variety and the best prices.
Albertson's: I usually buy Lean Cuisines and ice cream and popsicles and some non organic produce when on sale. I also usually buy my DD's pampers there since they are usually the cheapest place ($19.99 a box).
Ralph's: Has a decent selection of organic produce and other organic items for good prices. However I find that their non-food items tend to be a bit high even with coupons. But they double coupons so sometimes it is worthwhile.
Henry's Marketplace: I buy their antibiotic and hormone free meat and poultry. I buy most of my fruits and veggies there and dairy.
Target: Kids clothes, formula, cheap gifts, cleaning supplies.
Walmart: Same as Target
Costco: I go there about once a month for bottled water (their brand is put through reverse osmosis type of purification which is supposed to be better than regular purification) and the price is better than bottle watered at the regular stores. I also go there for gifts, some organic produce, office supplies, and I go there anytime I am planning a party.
