I just went to ours yesterday, it a little bitty store, he doesn't have alot, but I got a box of 12-100 calorie pack chips ahoy for $1.97, they had expired last month, but they taste fine. I also got a box of ten individual size pretzels for 1.49. I got 5 snack size bags of iced animal crackers for 1.00, 20 double yolk eggs for 2.79. It's just hit and miss, he goes to the grocery stores and buys thier out of date stuff, and stuff they haven't been able to sell. Oh yeah, I got a 8 oz bag of asiago cheese for 1.49, and an 8oz block of chedder (Land of Lakes) for 1.79. I always check w/ him b4 I go to the store and see what he has.

I love our ding and dent grocery store. The only problem with ours is they usually have a lot of stuff that is out dated...but I go there for canned goods, and sometimes get snacks for my son, it great if you just watch the expiration dates!

We don't have one in my area, but maybe I should do a search and see if they have one in a nearby town?

I have one that is about 15 minutes from my house(run by a local amish family) and I love it, although there are some things that are expired so you have to watch that and there are a few things that aren't really a great deal, but overall I get a lot of things like pasta/pizza sauce tomato sauces and that sort of thing for as low as 35 cents just beacause the can is dented. I love these deals because they are always name brand, I can really stock up and get deals sometimes!!

I visited one of these for the first time about a week ago. We were visiting relatives (about 4 hours away), and there's one on the way. Oh, I wish it were closer. It broke my heart to see ice cream for way less that half of the best sale price I see around home. Of course, we were traveling on the only 50-degree day of the winter and there's no way ice cream would have survived the trip home.
