Since I practically gave up work (I only do 10 hrs a week) one of the luxuries to go was my gourment coffee for my coffee pot, now we are on yucky instant. As you can tell I really miss my good morning coffee. Has anyone reused the coffee in the coffee pot to make a new pot? I was thinking usually there is a well in the ctr where the water has dripped through and the coffee all around it is dry, so does this mean it wasn't used? Could I stir it and put on another pot? Could I stir it and just put in a teaspoon for an extra kick? Too scrared to try it and was wondering if anyone else had.

Dh has tried as a desperate attempt to make more coffee, it didn't work. It comes out weak and gross tasting. Sorry

We always use good coffee, I just budget for it (instant or Folgers make me sick). Some people need certain sodas, some need beer, we need good coffee every morning. To me, it's worth the cost.

It can't hurt to try. Like you said, scrape down the sides so it's all in the bottom again and maybe add 1 new spoonful. If it doesn't work, then you'll know!! I'd also advise looking for some cheaper ground or bean coffee. I HATE instant and would rather not drink coffee than drink that.

Never tried it but would be interesting to try. I use an expresso machine and haven't used my regular coffee maker since Christmas so if you try it let me know how it turns out. We use Illy Coffee which is about $13 an 8 oz can so it would be nice to be able to reuse it. Coffee is my one big splurge so I don't feel too bad but it would be nice to be able to save on it.

I MUST have my coffee or I am a monster till I do have it!! I have reused coffee in a pinch and I just add a scoop ontop of what is already there...it is fine...I wouldn't use it anymore than that though!!! I tried instant ...it reminds me of the coffee out of the vending machines in the hospital .....gross!!! Good luck!!! watch for sales....or try buying it from sams or costco....

wish we had sams over here, I keep praying for it or something like it to come over here. Costco IS apparantly coming soooo fingers crossed, it will really wake up the retail market if it does. Going to try it (the coffee) tomorrow instead, huge day planned for today and won't be home.

I am on the look out for great coffee...CHEAP! I have found that the Walmart brand 100% Colombian is good and drinkable! Anyone else?

Also the Kirkland coffee is great and only $2.62 per pound! You just have to get a huge can. I wonder if it would stay fresh if I seal half, and then open when ready to use? I always love the coffee in the beginning, and then it tastes old as it is left to air out after opening the can several times!
