Can you re-use coffee grounds? I thought I read somewhere that you can use them the next day or something like that?

I've added a scoop (or whatever was left in the coffee bag) to the old grounds to brew a new pot before, but it was pretty weak and not very good. Maybe if you have enough for a couple of fresh scoops to add and don't mind the strength it could work in a pinch.

I haven't tried it but I like my coffee strong so I don't know if I'd like it.

Once grounds have been hit by water, they taste awful. Roasted coffee 'rusts' really quickly.

However, used coffee grounds are a wonderful addition to the garden. A couple of years ago, I would save my grounds in a bucket - paper filter and all - them periodically dump them in my vegetable garden. By the time we rototilled no paper filters could be detected and the plants LOVED the coffee.

Myself, I wouldn't reuse them, the coffee would be weaker and they do mold. The garden trick that Cookie2 talked about does work. Also, my roses love when I mix in used coffee grounds in the soil around them.

I don't drink coffee, but dh does. I save his used coffee grounds for our garden. I read somewhere too that coffee goundd down the garbage disposal is supposed to freshen the drain.

Worms love coffee grounds! We don't drink coffee (though I do toss my tea grounds out in the garden) but you can also get free bags of used coffee grounds from Starbucks! They usually have a bucket out front and you just pick them up if they're there!
