that you hear are going to have a price increase? For instance the price of flour is supposed to be going up. Do you go buy some now for your pantry stockpile?

Yes, I stock away what I can. but sometimes I go overboard, I now have like 20 tubes of toothpaste, some might think that's great! But I have dentures ( Lost all my teeth when I was 20) anyway, I DON"T use toothpaste!!!! So sometimes I look at my Extra's and ask myself WHY???

I regularly stock pile on items that I know we use on a regular basis. I am planning on using a small part of our refund to stock pile. I have never gone overboard with toiletries. I almost always have three bottles of shampoo/conditioner, and last time we were at Sam's I got a big pack of toothpaste, and bars of soap. I know what we will use up before it goes bad. Plus I have a unfinished basement that has shelves so I can stock things like papertowels, toilet paper, canned goods and they are not in our way. I had wanted to stock pile on canned goods this week, but I had to take care of other bills first and do not have enough to do so. but I know now that they will go on sale again in another 12 weeks or so, so now I will just stick some money aside to stock pile next time. I usually do good at stock piling food. Well, sometimes. Like last time Hamburger Helper was on sale, I must have bought a dozen boxes. I do not eat the stuff! But it has come in handy in between paychecks and when dh has to cook dinner. It will all get eaten up so I am not worried about it.

I stockpile everything we use regularly when it goes on sale, or if I know it's going up in price (which is EVERYTHING lately). We have cabinets full of non-perishables like boxes of pasta and misc snacks that I buy on sale. We also have freezers full of fruits and veggies. We raise our own meat, so our freezers always have pork, beef, chicken and fish (from DH's annual fishing vacation). If frozen Tombstone pizza goes on sale, then I buy several of those, as that's my back-up dinner if I don't cook.

Flour, cocoa and sugar are actually on my list this week.

I've always kept a 50 bag of flour in the freezer -- well since we've owned a deep freeze. But to answer the orginal question, right now I have four blocks of Tillamook Chedder Cheese in my frig. I was going to shred a block or two but they don't expire until November and we'll eat them before, long before, then!

I don't really stock pile food. But toiletrees are a different story. I had a friend who called me the Bathroom Goodie Goddess cause I had my whole bathroom closet full of stuff. I have like so many shampoos and conditoners and lotions and body washes! Mostly all from Bath and Body works. I am addicted! When I get a coupon for a free item I usally use it and then you get those awesome sales around and after christmas. It's crazy! I wanna start stockpiling food but right now I don't have the space for just the food I have let alone a stock pile. Hopefully soon I will though. I would stockpile dr pepper lol.
