I regularly stock pile on items that I know we use on a regular basis. I am planning on using a small part of our refund to stock pile. I have never gone overboard with toiletries. I almost always have three bottles of shampoo/conditioner, and last time we were at Sam's I got a big pack of toothpaste, and bars of soap. I know what we will use up before it goes bad. Plus I have a unfinished basement that has shelves so I can stock things like papertowels, toilet paper, canned goods and they are not in our way. I had wanted to stock pile on canned goods this week, but I had to take care of other bills first and do not have enough to do so. but I know now that they will go on sale again in another 12 weeks or so, so now I will just stick some money aside to stock pile next time. I usually do good at stock piling food. Well, sometimes. Like last time Hamburger Helper was on sale, I must have bought a dozen boxes. I do not eat the stuff! But it has come in handy in between paychecks and when dh has to cook dinner. It will all get eaten up so I am not worried about it.
