Do you shop at an outlet bread store? Do you make your own? Do you only buy store brand?

If I am near the Wonder Bread Outlet I buy there. If not I either buy at Aldi's (which has great wheat bread imo) or storebrand at Target or Hyvee, depending on where I am that day buying groceries.

I make homemade bread every Wed when I am off.

But dh also like Sara Lee potato bread for toast and sandwiches, so I just buy a loaf of that at wal-mart!

I love to make it, but if I did it all the time DH and I would both weigh 300 pounds - we eat the whole loaf with butter as soon as it comes out of the oven.

We can usually get wheat bread on sale for about $1.50/loaf at the grocery store. The local bakery also has good deals on bread at the end of the day.

This really isn't about where I buy it but....

I am a vendor for Bunny Bread. Do you know what the color tags stand for?

Monday - Blue
Tuesday - Red
Wednesday - no fresh bread
Thursday - Green
Friday - Yellow
Saturday - White
Sunday - no fresh bread

Also this is no joke private label bread "generic" doesn't last as long. They told me why but I don't remember. So you may be saving money by buying the cheaper loaf, but the more expensive loaf will last longer. Keep that in mind next time you go to the store.

Hope this helps!

Aldi's has the best price on Wheat bread. If I can't get there (1/3 hour away) I pick up store brand at HyVee, but it costs more.
