I was getting to be really good about doing this. But than I started working lots of nights and weekends and have totally dropped the ball on this. Plus I was hoping to find some new recipes that my family would like too. I thnk that they were getting tired of the same stuff. I am planning on starting this back up again. I need to go to the dollar store and stock up on 9'x9' disposable alum. pans.

Definately...I always make a double batch whenever I make soup, stew, chili or any of my spaghetti sauces.

Yes! lasagna, sloppy joe mixture, chili, soups, meatloaf (4 at a time), anything we grill (if you grill something, then freeze it and later warm it in the microwave, it tastes like it just came off the grill). Also freezer dinners for my 6 year old - when DH and I have something he doesn't eat, or we have a babysitter, we can pull one out for him.

I feed 7 to 9 people at a pop!!! I make double batches just to eat! Plus we eat leftovers for lunch. I do make meals for the freezer occasionally though.

Since I just fee two of us, almost everything is a double batch and we do use it for leftovers. Sometimes instead of making a casserole or something in a 9x13 pan, I'll split it into two 9X9 and freeze one.

This is me too. Last night dh wanted chili, and I didn't really feel like making anything. Then, I remembered that we had chili in the freezer. That saved me last night!!

Yes, I've started doing this. My best reference on what freezes well and reheats tasting just as good (and for new ideas) has been the book "Don't Panic: Dinner's in the Freezer".

I've been trying to do this lately so we wouldn't have to worry about dinner after the baby comes, but DH is a piggy. A frozen lasagna became a midnight snack and two casseroles have mysteriously disappeared...
