Our Kroger has their butter on sale for 1.50/lb. This is the cheapest I've seen butter since I've been keeping track AND, if you are on their mailing list to get their little brochure, there was a coupon in one of the last ones for 0.35 off Kroger butter, so a pretty good deal. Now if only I had 10 of those...

Butter freezes very well (in fact, some people advise storing it in the freezer and just taking it out the day before you'll start on that pack to soften).

If anyone knows of cheaper butter, please let me know!
