Where does everyone store the stockpile of items they have? I have a small deep freezer and a row of cabinets in my garage, along with an old file cabinet for shampoo, soap, etc. Where does everyone put the stuff they get on clearance for the next season? My house is super tiny. (two bedrooms, one bath, one car garage with DS-who is one, DH and My 2 fur children) How do you keep yourselves organized.. and keep things from spoiling.. i thought about doing a master list. Please let me know any ideas.

We have a small freezer chest and I use a closet in the hallway by the kitchen for my pantry.

I have a pantry off of the kitchen where i stored all my caned items, boxed food etc...

Paper towels, toliet tissue and extra shampoo etc....goes in cabinets in the utility room.

We also have 3 freezers (1 chest, and the other 2 in ref.) the chest and 1 ref is outside in the utility room (yes, i have a huge utility room, and my washer and dryer is not even in there). The other ref/freezer is in the kitchen.

I have a pantry corner in my basement with 3 shelving units. The house also came with a freezer in the basement.
My grandma had a 2 bedroom house and she would put canned goods under the beds.

I different places in the house and that includes a deep freeze as well. My main thing to keep myself organized is to date the food when it comes into my house or I can / freeze it. I have a black sharpie in my top drawer and that helps me a lot! I have thought about a master list but for me I know if wouldn't keep up on it.

I have a walk in pantry, a freezer with my fridge and a deep freeze. I use a sharpie to put the date on things that go in the freezer and for the pantry. I rotate when something new comes in it goes to the back of the pantry. I try not to stock pile things I know we won't eat but only things we will. The freezer gets rotated as well but not nearly as often. I tried the list but it was very hard on me to keep up with it. I guess I am just not that organized.

I keep shampoo, saop in the closet in the bathroom. Cleaners in the washer/dryer closet. toilet paper under the bathroom sink. Disher washing soaps under the kitchen sink. canned and dry foods on the top shelf in the kitchen pantry. I don't stock pile freezer foods. We have stuff everywhere.

but when I run low on cleaners I think I will try vinagar

I have one regular fridge/freezer in the kitchen and one deep freeze in the entry that comes off into the carport. Than my pantry is actually the old kitchen of this house so there are built in cabinets so I use those for storage of boxed foods. Plus I have a large shelving unit that I use too. We have a small unfinished basement that has tons of built in storage shelves. We are going to start using those more for things like; cases of canned foods, big packages of toilet paper, paper towels, etc. Mainly food that if for some reason the basement flooded (never happned so far, but you never know) or just mainly canned or bottled items-just in case we were to get mice, etc (which we have had about three so far in two years, but they like to stay upstairs where it is warm. Since putting decon in all the crawl spaces about six months ago, we have not had any rodent problems. We plan on using some of our tax refund and that other refund/check to fill up our pantry with lots of food and non food items. With the way prices are going, it doesnt seem like too bad of an idea to me.

For my health & beauty/cleaning supplies stockpile, I keep it in our downstairs bathroom becuase it has a walk-in closet lined with shelves. It stays organized and visible so we know what we have and what we need.

For frozen food, I keep a running inventory of our freezer since it is a chest freezer and can be a "black hole" if you don't see what is at the bottom. I love keeping it stocked, but I also love crossing things off the list as we use them. I also keep an inventory of what I have in the pantry. Not only does it keep it organized, but it helps with meal planning too.

For next season items for my kids, I store them in one drawer of their dresser (socks, underwear, PJ's), and the rest I hang at the back of their closets so it gets rotated in as the small clothing is rotated out.
