So in November, the ding/dent discount supermarket that was 5 minutes from my house suddenly closed. I was really bummed b'c that was the only local place I could go to quickly (and without dragging DS along) to stay within my grocery budget. I have an Aldi 25 minutes away, but with vehicle situations, I have to spend a whole entire day out and about in order to go up there. But guess what? Aldi is coming to that empty building where the discount supermarket closed! Yep! Aldi! W00T! It sounds silly but when it closed, I said a little prayer that an Aldi would go in there. Now I can do all my grocery shopping locally again (well, once Aldi opens)... YAY!!!!!!

I just shopped at Aldi's to try it out last week, thanks to someone's suggestion on these boards. It's been in my town for a while, but I've never gone - never seem to have any cash. Anyway, I took $100, and filled my cart until it looked close to $100 worth. When I checked out, it was only $47!!!! I couldn't believe it! I'll be making that part of my regular routine in the future.
