Chicken Fettuccine Alfredo
(Add veggies or substitute all veggies for chicken to make vegetarian)

12 oz pasta
2.5 cups chicken broth
8 tsp flour
2/3 pkg cream cheese
6 tbs parmesan
1/2 tsp nutmeg
1/2 tsp pepper
4 tbs parsley
Add-in options: 1/2 - 1 lb chicken, 10 oz - 1 lb broccoli pieces (fresh or frozen)
Cook pasta, drain. Season chicken with salt/pepper/garlic and parcook; cut into pieces and set aside. Combine flour, broth, cream cheese, 3 tbs parmesan, nutmeg, and pepper. Boil 2-4 minutes. Add chicken and broccoli. Simmer until sauce is thickened. Add pasta, heat through. Top with parmesan and parsley and serve.

I just discovered a Menu Planner right on their site! It even makes up a grocery list FOR you!

Aldi Meal Planner

This is the link to all of their recipes. It's a great frugal cooking site.

This is in their FAQ section:

Do you have recipes for people on a budget?
We currently do not have the ability to calculate the actual cost of any recipe that you select on our site however, you can be assured that using ALDI grocery ingredients you will be preparing a good tasting notorious meal at a price well below the average cost to prepare home cooked meals.

Do you think they meant nutritious, or notorious? I know it's a German company and spell check wouldn't have caught that one.

haha..

I just signed up for their menus. I'm curious to see what sort of email thing they have going on. I'm a member of another menu place. I would like to see affordable meals that I can get all the ingred. in one place.

Great idea.
