The Kum and Go up the road from us always has gallons of milk about 20 cents cheaper than any other store in town. We live in Arkansas.

Well in So Cal we don't have most of the stores that have been mentioned on this thread but we have Trader Joes and I can get a lot of things cheaper there than at the grocery store - cereal - DS loves the PB Puffs - that are organic - at least $1 less than the grocery store - think it might be even $2 less. Organic pasta is less and the same with organic produce. Great wine/beer selection. Great price on Steel Cut Oats - love love love them except that they take 25 mins to cook - I cook enough for several days at a time and just reheat.

We just got a Fresh and Easy which is sort of like a Trader Joes. I have gotten some amazing deals there. I bought Paradise Ice Tea which is about 4.50 at the grocery store for only 1.49 - I was so happy and really stocked up. They also have a lot of other items and some organics. I have only been going there for about a month but so far it is my favorite store - everyone is so helpful and they love to give out coupons - usually $5 off or a 25 or 20 purchase. I have tried the store brand and so far everything has been as good as the national brands and they have great prices on regular brands as well. Their produce looks good to but not a lot of organics. One thing to watch - check the dates on anything that they package prepared foods a couple of times I forgot and the item was going to expire in a day or two - ooppps. I also have gotten some great deals on organic coffee and tortilla chips and they are the best chips I have ever had - love them.

I always make a stop at the bread store and here lately more trips to the dollar store - The spices are good and the italian dresssing was ok for a marinade.

Hi! The Walgreens back home where I used to live usually had the cheapest price on gallons of milk. You could get it for $2.99 there and other places would be close to $4.00!!! I use the Dollar stores(General and Tree) quite often for a lot of things. Big Lots is good on clearancing chips, candy, cereal, crackers a lot. I bought several bags of chips there recently for .75 to .90 a bag!
Also, the Hostess or Interstate Brands shops are great to get clearanced bread, crackers, snack cakes, cookies and more! You just have to remember where your clearance places are and stock up..because eventually the prices will go up or they will stop selling it.

I agree with the Hostess Bread outlet stores. You can find great deals on their Wonder Bread. Last time I bought I got a loaf of bread for 80 cents. Even the WalMart brand isn't that cheap, at least where I live. I bought 15 loaves of bread and froze it, since we live an hour away from the outlet. Target clearance also has good deals to be found. I've gotten soups for 45 cents a can, and they weren't expired either. I've gotten canned frosting for 69 cents a can there(Betty Crocker), although I think that was a coding error on their part.(It was on the regular shelf for that price, so I bought 5 cans.) That happened one time also with mac and cheese(Kraft), it was marked on the regular shelf for 39 cents a box, so I bought 10 boxes. I was also at a Costco last weekend with a friend, and their milk was so cheap-I think it was only $2.00 a gallon-Walmart is $3.35 a gallon here.

I have a Hostess bread store near me & I've never stopped there. Now that I know what great deals everyone has been getting there I'll have to stop!

I found people in my area that raise pigs and cows and bought 1/2 when they came back from market. 1/2 pig that was all cut and packaged cost me $100. You get a lot of meat for this price.

I just came back from Pavilions and got some great deals on some great cuts of beef. I bought 2 - 4lb cuts of tri tip marinated with a Chipotle sauce for $3.00 each. They were in the clearance section. I got 2lbs of stew meat for $1.50, I got several steaks for under $1.00 each. I'm so excited.....I just stretched my dollar for the next few weeks.
