I heard this tip recently and I don't know if it works or not but I'm going to try it as mushrooms are on sell this week at my local store!

Saute your mushrooms and then freeze them!

Sounds pretty simple and like it work! Has anyone done this before? I'll report back with my experiment!

It does work! Also when cleaning mushrooms, try to avoid getting them wet...use a damp towel or brush to clean them, they absorb a lot of water and it can really affect the flavor of some mushrooms when that happens.

I love mushrooms and always hate "having" to use them up. This is a great way to extend their lives. Thanks!

i asked a few months back on a post how to freeze mushrooms. Just saute and freeze. The only thing i do diff. now is freeze them in ice tray. After they harden i put them in a big ziploc. That way they are single serve sizes.. not everyone in my family likes them. I just take out how ever much i need.
