I just got back from food shopping. A couple weeks ago I bought a reusable grocery bag and today the cashier informed me that you get $.05 off for every reusable bag you bring in for your order. This includes reusing the plastic bags they usually use. Just wanted to pass that along. In fact I think I'll buy another reusable bag this week. Every penny counts!

Our local store does this here too.. we usually save 20 cents.. almost like an extra coupon.

you can also use the ones you can buy and make a pattern to make your own.. that is what i did. Now i have pretty ones.

Hy-Vee grocery stores refund the .05 cents for every bag you reuse when you shop with them.

shoprite now does this too for 5 cents, it used to be 2 cents, but they just changed it last week i believe. it's great cause i usually use about 6 bags, so that's 30 cents...

Which Stop and Shop in MA? I haven't seen this yet. I know Price Chopper gives 3 cents a bag and Roche Bros gives 5 cents.
