OK, since many of you seemed surprised at my $4 milk, I went back and double checked my receipt...I paid $4.15 for store brand (GV) walmart skim milk this week! (south Louisiana) I swear I'm going to go buy a cow.

If there's a buy 1 get one free on the cow's let me know and I'll split the cost! We used to go through 3 gallons of milk a week (Yes, 3 gallons for a family of 3!!). My son has been introduced to tea, juice and kool aid and the wonderful world of water!!! Milk was too expensive to keep giving him at every meal.

Milk is only 1.99 a gallon at the Aldi here this week! Usually it is 2.75.

Our Aldi's has skim milk on sale this week for $2.19 - which is great, they usually sell for $2.99 and Wal-Mart is $3.36.

Milk at our local grocery store is $3.59 for fat-free, 1% and 2%. Whole milk is $4.19. We go through 4-5 gallons a week. I don't drink very much milk myself to save money. I have it on cereal once in a while and that's it.
