I sure do! I always bring it home and repackage and freeze it right away though. As long as it looks fine, I don't see a problem with it. On that same note, I have bought meat before that was not about to expire and it was spoiled.

Almost always. We shop at a small, independant grocer w/ a very good meat market. They turn things around in there pretty fast so the discount bin has new stuff in it daily. We call it the "buzzard bin." I just bought a whole bunch of lamb chops the other day & threw it all on the grill. We routinely buy & freeze filet mignon or leg of lamb from there as well as many good steaks. Chicken never seems to get in there. Oh, and ground beef, of course. I don't buy it if it starts looking discolored at all.

I buy it whenever I can, and if we don't use it that night I freeze it.

I buy it whenever I can. Sometimes I can get some really good deals on lean ground beef at WalMart. They will have it for 1.99 a pound. I really stock up on stuff like that.

I buy reduced meat.. Our store marks them off 1/2 price when they are 1 day away from expiry. We either use them that night, or we freeze them, nothing wrong with it!! Great savings!!

Canadians, check out Superstore, Extra Foods, and Loblaws for this... It is a company wide policy and if you catch them doing you can RAKE IN THE SAVINGS!!!!

Me too! As long as it is something I know we will eat and the price per pound is a good deal lower than the regular price. Sometimes, if it is the last day, I will ask if they can mark it down even more. Doesn't hurt to ask! Sometimes they say yes and sometimes they say no.

As long as it looks good, I'm perfectly ok with it!
