Anyone else??? So is it REALLY worth it to stockpile on these items? Are you still going to cut open your toothpaste tube if you know you have another 3 tubes in the linen closet?? What do you think?
I have just begun my stocking up, as I said in my OP, but I haven't noticed that I use any more. Honestly, we had such a rough winter when I first quit my job that I am almost overboard about being careful with things like that now because I'm terrified that I will lose my stockpile, lol. We didn't starve or do without anything, but we got so close to not having enough that it really, really scared me. I might get this way after I get comfortable with my stash, it's something to watch out for.

I'm not sure if you're talking about buying in bulk or stocking up. I stock up on everything I use that won't go bad. As far as buying in bulk, it's mostly flour, sugar and TP. Everything else, it's a better deal for me to buy it on sale with coupons at the store than by the case.

We buy organic sugar, cheese, TP, laundry soap, milk (less expensive), sunblock, and food saver bags at CostCo. DH also chews alot of gum so we usually pick that up.

Paper goods, hygiene products, detergents and dry goods -- I'm always stocking up at Costco when they have coupons.

I don't think we are more wasteful just because we have more of something in the house. But I can see that being a problem...

I know what you mean. I have a pretty good stock pile of shampoo and soap, but I just tell myself to use just enough, because it will last that much longer.

We get TP, paper towels, canned goods, boxed items on sale, baking supplies and hygiene products. I don't think I waste it, though I maight, never really thought about it. Good thing to watch out for!

I buy rice, soap, french fries, tuna, syrup, fruit cups, spices, and mints at Sam's. As for stockpiling, I will get anything that we regularly eat as long as it is on sale and I have coupons. If it will fit somewhere in the house or garage, I will load up on it.
