I've been looking for ways to cut down on utilities and other monthly expenses and haven't been able to find a cheaper alternative for internet. I pay $62/month and I am shocked I can't find anything cheaper. I was wondering if this expense is average. I don't think dial-up service is an option for me because I use Vonage for phone but I'd love to hear if anyone has any advice on how to cut this expense.

Mine is $37/month, which was the cheapest we could get without a landline (or cable for that matter).

I think we pay around $50-ish. We haven't found anything cheaper except Netzero which is about $15 a month for high speed but you have to be plugged into a phone outlet and we need wireless for our laptops.

Progress Since 1/6/09:

We pay $60 for wireless 3.0MG of download speed. Where we are it's our ONLY option for high speed, so we're kinda stuck, and my DH needs the speed his work (from home). The other is Huges Net, but to get the same speed it would cost $190/month
