I bought a bakers rack, at a garage sale, painted it (it was rusty) and put it in the bathroom. I bought cheap wicker baskets to go on it, at the bottom to hold stuff. Everyone that came in, asked where I got it!
You could also buy a small bookcase at a thrift store, or garage sale and paint it, and use it in the bathroom.
My sister uses shoe bags (those clear shoe bags that you get for $9.00 that has 12 or more pockets) in her bathroom. She hangs them on the inside of the bathroom door, and uses the pockets to put shampoo, razors, shaving cream and other bathroom items in. And she does it in all 3 of her bathrooms. They live in a house that was built in the late 1800's and it has NO storage in the bathroom.

my bathroom here has a huge linen closet so I`m not having this issue, but at the house we moved from, there was nothing.. so, I bought a wicker stand (it had two shelves on top and a cabinet underneath) at a yard sale for $10, the paint was chipping so I bought a $3 can of white spray paint and used that on it. I used the top shelf for bigger things, put burgandy wicker baskets I had on the second shelf. Everyone commented on it!

I shop at thrift stores for organization methods. I actually went there yesterday and found a bill organizer for $4.98 and the same ones are at Target for $24.99! My SO loves it and loves the fact I saved $20.00! That's $20.00 to put towards the bills in the organizer!!

I have storage issues in my bathroom also. Try Bed Bath and Beyond in their as-is section. I got an over-the-toilet organizer/cabinet for only $40.00. It was originally $80 marked down to $50.00 plus I used their 20% off coupon. So it came out to $40. The only thing that was wrong with it was the person who assembled it put one of the shelves on backwards. You could hardly tell. I realize I got a bargain on this one, but it doesn't hurt to check out those as-is sections. Plus their awesome coupons.

Depending on the type of sink you have, you can put a skirt around the sink and put a basket of whatever under the sink inside the skirt. I did this in an old house that we lived in, using sticky backed velcro. Now I have an old bookcase for towels, and a couple of wicker baskets for toilet paper, and other necessities.

Once you get something to put your bathroom things in, I use Mason Jars and clear glass jars with lids for q-tips, bandaids, cotton balls ect.

Before we redid our one bath I had taken a small metal plant rack from the dollar store and done the same as above with wicker baskets and such. It also works well to hold towels if you take the time to roll them up it will hold more and look nicer also.
