I wouldn't buy them but I am weird and I love the smell that Mountain breeze purex and Pink cap downy makes when they are used together to wash clothing.

We can only use unscented laundry detergent here so I haven't tied them but perhaps they could be cut in half to get 2 uses out of each sheet???

You would have to cut them in half, lengthwise.

And I am not sure if that would be enough detergent or fabric softener, for a full load of clothes.

The way I see it is this: the greater the convenience, the greater the price. This is obviously a convenience item, so people will pay for that. I can also see it being popular for like a 2nd home/condo where you might have a very small laundry closet & it's nice to have one compact item instead of 3 in the limited space, and you don't do laundry there much anyway. I use vinegar instead of fabric softener & I do not use dryer sheets, so this wouldn't save me anything.

I actually use Country Save biodegradeable detergent...I don't use any type of fabric softener and haven't needed any since switching to CS.
I bought it in bulk at Amazon when it was on sale based on the reviews and we love it....my kids eczema is almost gone since we switched to it!

I got a couple of packages at Walgreens. They were $5.99, but you got a $3 register rewards. I haven't tried them yet because I wanted to use up our big container of liquid first. I think they will be good to use for emergencies (ran out of liquid) or to send with DS to college.

Channel 4 showcased them last night and the participant said they would definitely buy them. I'm old fashioned, so I probably couldn't get used to the idea of just throwing in a sheet. Maybe when I hear more good about them, I be brave and try them.

I got them on sale plus a coupon for $3 or so at Kroger. I haven't tried them yet but I would not ever pay full price.

editing to add, that they do have a "free" one (perfume free, etc) I use that for my sensitive skin.
