Gas, water, electric Garbage. We are buying a home that is twice the size of our current one but much more energy efficiant. Still I am trying to determine or at least estimate what utility costs are. It has two things like a AC and a hot tub(if we choose to use it) 2000 sq ft but vaulted ceilings. While our current home is half the square footage but has old windows, out dated furnace and no insulation in the walls.
So really interested in seeing what people pay? We are in a moderate climate (Seattle area) and that cuts the heating and cooling

We're in south Louisiana. We've started running the a/c some, but only for a couple of hours during the hottest part of the day, and the thermostat is never below 78. As much as possible, we use windows, screen doors, cross drafts, and ceiling fans to cool the house. We hang dry our laundry outside instead of using the dryer. Our electric bill last month for a 3-bedroom house, 1100 sqare feet of living space was $79 and some change.
Water, sewer, and garbage are all on the same bill. Sewer and garbage are a flat fee, water is billed according to actual use. Our water/sewer/garbage bill last month was a little over $40.
Our house is all electric, so no gas bill.

I live in MN. We have very high utilities cost. I have a very old house that is about 2400 sq feet. My gas bill varies from $20 in the summer to $300 in the winter. Our electric/water/sewer bill runs between $150 and $210 a month. Garbage is $54 for 3 months (we have the big cart).

We are in Eastren Wa and our avista bill ranges from $170.00( winter) - to $65.00 in the summer ( no central air but one window a/c unit). We do have a gas furnace, range/oven, waterheater, and dryer all gas.
Our water/sewer is about $45/monthly
Garbage is $23/month.
I will add that we do keep our heat at 72 in the winter dh would have it no other way. He says if he has to spend $20 more a month for him to be comfortable he will. I turn it down a little during the day when he is gone but it really doesn't make that much of a differance on our bill when I do ..
We also have a 2000/sq ft home. Bad windows being replaced this fall.

I live in a trailer, so the bills are not too high. Usually my electric is about 90, but for some reason, it was only 45 this month. I don't know why. Our gas bill is real low right now too, since we only need it for the stove and dryer. Probably about 40. I don't think it gets any higher than 200 in the winter, but in our old house, it was close to 400. We have a water bill right now that runs about about 40 dollars a month.

I'm in the northeast, but my utility costs are much lower because I get my electric directly from them company, and is not contracted out. I pay around $115 a month just for lights. My water is around $40 a month. I also pay for oil, which I'm on a budget plan and my payments are $245 amonth, but I always send extra. Garbage is $31 a month, but they only bill us every 3 months. I pay $63 every 3 months.

We live in Massachusetts and have a 3000 sq. ft. antique colonial. We spend 240/mo on gas (budget, so 12 months a year), 250 on electric, 35/mo on trash and 300-400 a quarter on water.
