Making my own laundry soap and Meal planning. I have saved hundreds of dollars by making my own laundry soap. I have figured I save at least $40 a month for a family of 4. I now have 2 more grown boys living in our house so that should go up.

Meal planning has also been a huge money saving tips. I shop once a month with my meal plan and coupons. This month I bought $549.00 worth of groceries and only paid $334.00 for them. I am starting to do freezer meals also to help with keeping the cost of food down while I am at work. If DH or the kids don't want to cook they hit the fast food, if I have a meal ready for them or almost ready that will eliminate that cost also.

I buy my childrens clothes a few sizes ahead when they are on clearance. I work at BRU so I save 10%, plus the clearance price, and if I time it right an additional 30% off. I also hit the clearance racks at Carter's and snag some awesome deals. Consignments shops/sales are really good too.

This past spring I spent $180 and got about $600 in clothes! All new!

Great tips ladies! Anyone wanna add anything?

I reuse dryer sheets a few times. The static here is out of control! I bought bounce dryer sheets back in Jan. or Feb. and still have half of the box left. I found they hold their scent up to 3 or 4 times!
