A bit of a spinoff of things that you won't buy used.

I prefer to buy books used. There are a few other things but after evidently coming up with the question, I cannot think of anything else to add. But I know there are some other things.

How about you?

Books, cd's dvd's come to mind, but the one thing that jumped out at me was cars.
I would prefer to buy a used car that I can pay cash for than a new one that I would have to finance, even if I could afford the note on a new one. Between the depreciation of the car and the increased cost of insuring a financed vehicle, it's like flushing money down the toilet.

We buy tons of stuff used: clothing, vehicles, cd's, videos, dvd's, books, games, puzzles, video games, curtains, furniture, dishes, framed pictures, that's all that I can think of for right now.

I always check the thrift stores and consignment stores first for anything we need that wouldn't be considered unsanitary in my mind. Used appliances, clothes, books, movies, dishes, kitchen utensils, curtains, blankets, sheets, baby stuff, furniture. Also used vehicles!
