What room in your house does your family congregate too?


My family tends to all gather in the livngroom. You can see into the livingroom from the kitchen so when I am working in the kitchen I don't feel left out though. We turned our garage into a family/computer room last spring, but currently me and my ds is about the only one that uses it. It is a little warm in here right now because there is no a/c just fans so once the weather gets cooler it may get more used.

When it's just Himself and me, we usually hang out in the den. When other people come over, I always put on a pot of coffee, so we often end up sitting around the table in the kitchen. We use the table for visiting, but not for meals.

In the evenings when it is bonus son, dh and myself, we eat at the breakfast bar and hang out there for a while.

But then dh and I go into our bedroom and watch tv, and bonus son goes to his room and watches tv or play with his play station.

Or we go out under the gazebo.

We tend to stay in the living room/kitchen area when everyone is home. If its just me and the kids they are usually playing downstairs where there is a huge tv and another room full of toys. I always tease everyone that I am going to rent out the upstairs of the house where all their bedrooms are because they hate going up there - (they are still a bunch of chickens)
