Before making a purchase, big or small, do you ever figure out how much it will cost if you divide it out by each time you use it? Let's say you buy a tea kettle for $30.00 and you use that tea kettle once a day for a year. It would work out to $0.27 a year for that tea kettle. Quite a bargain!

But what if you buy a Mrs. TeaPot, also for $30.00 and you only use it twice over the entire year that you own it. How much would that be? $15.00 a use. Not a deal.

Does anyone ever do this?

I do this all the time. That's how I determine if it's worth buying something. I'll think about approximately how many times I'll use what I'm buying and divide the price by that number. If it's low enough I'll buy the product.

I do this sometimes when buying clothes. It's always the $5 thrift store jeans that get the most wear
